FULL CIRCLE GALLERY FULL CIRCLE GALLERY, Baltimore, MD, Baltimore, MD
FULL CIRCLE GALLERY is honored to exhibit Echoes of Rome: the Eternal City rediscovered in the new and old worlds, a photographic exposition of Roman architectural influence around the globe. This event features the photographic work of James DuSel, renowned photographer and seasoned educator of ancient European languages. DuSels images remove the blinders from our daily experience, revealing a vintage view which actually depicts the persistence of ancient ideals in the monuments of contemporary urban social spaces. With the voluminous repository of architectural forms exhibited here, and encapsulated in the these handmade silver and palladium darkroom prints, DuSel creates, through repetition and variance, a visual vocabulary tracing its etymology around the world. It wasn't until his first trip to Rome in 2012, that he realized it was Rome itself he had been searching for through the lens for decades. Echoes of Rome is a resolution of his journey in search of the eternal city. Please join us to celebrate Dusel and his work on Saturday March 9th, from 3-6pm. FULL CIRCLE GALLERY is a new exhibition space for photographers, located on the first floor of Full Circle Ltd, a fine art printing & framing studio in Lower Charles Village. Full Circle has been a member of the arts community in Baltimore for 25 years, supporting artists projects through its professional services.
